CHARGES & PAYMENT:

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. All prices are exclusive of sales tax.

For any phone or online order there is a $6.00 charge for local delivery and a $25.00 minimum purchase for deliveries.
For orders shopped in-store, there is a $10.00 charge for local delivery.
For orders with baskets there is a $15.00 charge for local delivery.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE:

Orders will be delivered 24 hours after the order is processed. Orders are processed during regular office hours.

The office hours are:
Monday - Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (EST).
Sunday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (EST).

The delivery hours are Monday — Saturday
10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (EST).
Sunday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (EST).

Orders received Friday will be delivered the following Monday.

OUTSIDE NEW YORK CITY

Please note that we have new FLAT RATES for ALL Non-Perishable Baskets, CAVIAR, FOIE GRAS, FRESH TRUFFLES and GIFT CARDS.

FedEx Priority Overnight and FedEx Saver charges stay the same. Use Website rates.

All non perishables baskets will be shipped-- FedEx Ground (7-10 business days) $25.00.  Unless customer requests otherwise.  This rate is ONLY available for baskets ordered in advance not for baskets sold from store stock.

Caviar,  fresh truffles or foie gras. $75.00 flat rate for Priority Overnight. Up to 5 lbs.

Gift cards. $10. Flat rate.

There will continue to be an additional $25.00 fee for Saturday Delivery.

Basket orders placed by 5pm will be processed and shipped within 48 hours.

SHIPPING AND HANDLING:

If an order includes a perishable item, the whole order has to be shipped priority overnight. Nonperishable items are shipped FedEX express saver. Perishable orders are shipped via Federal Express Priority Overnight (See table above for prices). All perishables arrive in insulated polystyrene containers with ice packs. For information on recycling containers, call the Recycling Hotline at (800)944-8448.

All orders require a signature upon delivery.

We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, A.P.O./F.P.O.’s or outside of the continental United States.

Saturday delivery is available on all orders placed through Thursday. Priority overnight and Saturday delivery service are not available to customers in "remote" locations.

"Remote" locations are defined as locations outside of Federal Express’ Priority Delivery areas. If your order destination may be in a remote location, call Federal Express (800-GO FEDEX) to verify service availability. Due to this, your delivery will arrive by 4:30 PM. We are not responsible for perishable items delivered to remote areas.

CHARGES AND PAYMENT:

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. All shipping costs are based on total purchase order. All prices are exclusive of sales tax. There will be an additional sales tax charge of 8.875% on all taxable items, such as housewares, baskets and accessories.

Note:

  • Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • There will be an additional charge of 5% of the order total to orders over $100 to cover the cost of insurance.
  • Due to variation of prices on seasonal items, charges for those items will not appear on estimated purchase total.
  • Orders placed after business hours will be processed the following business day. All orders will require 24 hours from receipt date to be processed and shipped. Items ordered after Thursday, and Priority Overnight orders received on Thursday are shipped the following Monday. Items ordered together may arrive in separate boxes.

RETURNS:

If the product arrives damaged, please contact us immediately. Save all boxes and packing materials and keep the product refrigerated if appropriate.

DELAYS/SUBSTITUTIONS:

If we are temporarily out of stock on a particular item, we reserve the right to substitute a similar product of equal or greater value to meet your requested delivery date.

You will be informed by e-mail or phone if there are any backorders or problems with your order, so please make sure to provide us with contact information. Contact information will be used solely for shipping your order. It will not be sold or distributed to any mailing lists.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

Citarella is not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by events we cannot control, including acts of God, perils of the air, weather conditions, or if there is no one available to accept the package. If the package that you are shipping is perishable, please make sure that the recipient will be home to receive it.
