LOADING DOCK ASSOCIATE (Hunts Point, BX)

• Receive and count stock items, and record data.

•  Load and unload the trucks

•  Be able to lift up to 50-70 lbs.

• Knowledge on using the forklift a plus.

•  Pack and unpack items to be stocked in stockroom warehouses, or storage yards

• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse stock room.

• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.

•  Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, or storage yard workers.

The position is located in the South Bronx. This is a full-time hourly position in a 24 hour operation therefore applicants must be available to work any and all shifts. Weekends, overnights, and holidays are required.
