MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
(Hunts Point, BX)
Responsible for all
warehouse maintenance, to
incorporate the following
areas: custodial,
electrical, plumbing,
heating and refrigeration
includes preventative,
predictive, breakdown and
emergency maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
2-4 years maintenance
experience
-
Vocational School
Training in Engineering
preferred
-
Verbal and written
communication skills
-
Ability to multi-task
and thrive under
pressure
Tasks/Responsibilities:
-
Assist Maintenance
Specialist in managing
issues relating to
warehouse and store
maintenance, equipment
repair.
-
Troubleshoot electrical
and mechanical,
plumbing, heating and
refrigeration problems.
-
Address emergency repair
issues.
-
Ability to travel from
various locations as
needed.
-
In addition, other
duties may be required
as directed by your
manager.
Additional Requirements:
-
Required to stand during
scheduled hours. Hours
include weekends,
evenings and holidays
(minimum 40 hours per
week, 8 hours per day, 5
days per week).
-
Kneeling, stooping,
using stairs and
ladders, lifting weights
of usually 5 – 75
pounds.
-
Working at heights of 30
feet or more.
Candidates must be able to
read, write, and speak
English with proficiency.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish
preferred. The position is
located in the South Bronx.
This is a full-time hourly
position in a 24 hour
operation therefore all
full-time associates must be
available to work any and
all shifts. Holidays,
weekends, and overtime are
required.
